Friday May 22,2009 10:00AM Mass Bernard J. Okarma Mr. Bernard J. Okarma, 89, of Randolph passed away Saturday, May 16th, 2009 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover, following a long illness. Resident of Randolph since 1962, moved here from Irvington. Mr. Okarma was born in Newark. He was a Parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Dover. He served in the U.S. Army in WW II. He worked as an electrician at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Township, and retired in 1970 after 28 years. He worked as an electrician for Brooklyn Navy Yard, Brooklyn before working at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Township. After retiring from Picatinny he was the owner/operator of Okarma Electric Service in Randolph. Member of the Disabled American Veterans, Knights of Columbus Lafayette Council #514 of Dover, andof the V.F.W. Randolph Memorial Post #7333. Survived by two daughters, Mary Okarma of Randolph and Christine A. Aloisio of Hackettstown. Also surived by his granddaughter Danielle Aloisio , niece Dorothy Breynock of Hillside and by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Helen in 2007. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Dover, at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 22nd, 2009. Visitation Thursday, May 21st, 2009, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 W. Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801.
