Obituary of Anthony M. Suler

Wednesday May 20th, 2009 10:00 AM Mass Anthony M. Suler, 77 of Ledgewood passed away on Friday May 15th at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clares Hospital in Dover following a long illness. Resident of Ledgewood since 2002, previously lived in Butler for over 40 years, was born in Passaic, and former owner of Bobby's Acres Garden Center in Newfoundland. He was a parishioner of St. Therese R.C. Church in Succasunna, Our Lady of the Magnificat in Kinnelon, and St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Butler. He was a fourth degree Knight in the Knight's of Columbus, Council #6320-St. Therese of Succasunna. He served in the U.S Navy during the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman, but he was mostly known as a loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather. Survived by Bernadette (nee Steck), his wife of 50 years; one son George Anthony and his wife Patricia of New Hope, Pa; three daughters, Mary Edwards and her husband John of Mt. Arlington, Lorene S. Gallahue and husband Robert of Allamuchy, and Sharon Calafiore and husband Salvatore of Rockaway Twp; four grandchildren, Katelyn, Antonia, Brian and Joshua; one brother Albert Suler of Kinnelon; and three sisters, Sallie Kirchmayer of Bloomingdale, Anne Suler of Kinnelon, and Margaret Duplak of Hackettstown. Pre-deceased by his granddaughter Samantha Lorene Calafiore in 2002.
