John Paul Skwarek, 89, of Denville, passed away Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 at Saint Clares Hospital, Denville. John was born in Wharton and has been a resident of Franciscan Oaks, Denville for 17 years. He worked as a Munitions Engineer at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Township, and retired in 1979 after 35 years. He received his BA Degree in 1948 from Rutgers University. Member of the Boonton Elks, Lodge 1405, for 63 years and Knights of Columbus, Barrett Council 1954, Boonton. He was an avid gardener and bird watcher. Survived by his niece Alice Koza and husband Stan and also many other nieces and nephews. Also survived by his fiancee Lorraine Principe and her children Jerry & Roberta, Fred & Susan, Donna & Michael Smith and her 10 grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Katherine in 1999 and his 4 sisters Mary Sheplak, Helen Wicha, Pauline Picone and Sophia Parisi. Visitation Friday, January 6th, 2012, 3 - 7 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 7th, 2012, 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Denville (973-627-0269). Entombment will follow at Holy Rood Mausoleum, Morristown.
