Obituary of Adele J. Amerspek

Adele J. Amerspek, 90, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at her residence.
Born in Garfield, she lived in Garfield and Fair Lawn before moving to Succasunna 45 years ago. She received a degree from County College of Morris and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. Mrs. Amerspek retired from Morris County Board of Social Services. She was involved in programs involving Medicaid, food stamps, working poor, admissions for Morris View Nursing Home, a Medicaid Nursing Home in Morris County. She was also a consultant for Morris County Fraud Unit. Mrs. Amerspek was an ardent gardener and a supporter of the West Morris YMCA. During World War II, she received an award for her performance in selling a record number of war bonds.
Mrs. Amerspek was a parishioner of St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna, where she served as a EucharisticMinister and was a member of the church building committee and on the financial committee. She was an ardent supporter and contributor to St. Therese School, Succasunna, where her two daughters received an excellent education.
Survivors include her loving husband John, of 65 years, two loving daughters, Diane Torsiello and her husband Robert of Succasunna and Donna Snyder and her husband Wayne of Hackettstown, and three grandchildren, Michael, Mark, and Kara. Also her nephew John Faron and his wife Joan, her niece, Claire Johnson and her husband Paul, her niece Judi and her husband Michael Mahonchak. She was predeceased by her sister Jean Faron, brothers Ted, Edward, and Matt Garbulinski.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna (973-584-8271) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 10:00AM. Visitation at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph(www.Tuttlefh.com) on Tuesday December 20, 2011 from 3-5PM & 7-9PM. Interment at Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery, Succasunna.
