Obituary of Peter S. Galioto

Peter S. Galioto, 91, of Pompton Plains, passed away Thursday, December 1st, 2011 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains. Peter was born in Bloomfield and has been a resident of Pompton Plains since 2005, moved here from Wharton. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked as a Manager at the A & P Supermarkets, Ledgewood, and retired in 1978 after 37 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #514, Dover. Peter is survived by three daughters Meri Ann Saddlemire of VT, Andrea Mann of CT, and Suzanne Bini of Boonton Township. Also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth in 2003. Visitation Sunday, December 4, 2011, 1:00 - 5:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's R.C. Church (973-366-0184), 425 W. Blackwell Street, Wharton, at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 5th, 2011. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 669 Littleton Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054-4836.
