John De Filippis, 90, of Morris Plains, formerly of Wayne, passed away after a short illness on Monday, November 21, 2011 at his home. Born in Bound Brook, John lived in Newark for many years before moving to Wayne in 1968, and then moved to Morris Plains earlier this year. John worked for Anheuser-Busch in Newark as a warehouseman for 39 years before his retirement in 1986.
He is survived by his son John J. and wife Karen, daughter Ellen Denning and husband Michael, two granddaughters Rachel and Emily Denning, and a brother Anthony. John was predeceased by his wife Adele.
Visitation Friday November 25, 2011, 3:00PM-7:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. Funeral Mass Saturday November 26, 2011, 9:30AM at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, Cedar Knolls (973-538-1358). Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Parsippany Rescue & Recovery Squad, P.O. Box 45, Lake Hiawatha, NJ 07034
