Obituary of Aldo J. Verdi

Aldo J. Verdi, 80, of Denville, passed away Wednesday, November 16th, 2011 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover. Aldo was born in Little Ferry and has been a resident of Denville since 1965. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker at General Hose, Fairfield, and retired in 1999 after over 40 years. He was an avid bowler, hunter, and fisherman and was a member of the NRA, Clam Diggers, Boonton, and Silver Brigade, Denville. Survived by his wife Jean of 57 years; three children Linda Cicak and husband Nicholas of Dover, Aldo and wife Elizabeth of Budd Lake, and Denise Ridner and husband Ed of Dover; five grandchildren Nicholas and wife Monica, Jennifer, Andrew and wife Dorie, Evan, and Autymn. Predeceased by his daughter Karen and his five brothers and one sister. Visitation Sunday, November 20th, 2011, 2:00 - 6:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church (973-627-0269), 15 Myers Avenue, Denville at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 21st, 2011. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to the National Emphysema Foundation, 128 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851.
