Obituary of Ruth E. Buchanan

Ruth E. Buchanan wonderful homemaker Ruth E. Buchanan, 92, of Hackettstown, passed away Tuesday, September 20th, 2011 at Heath Village, Hackettstown. Ruth was born in Nazareth, PA and has been a resident of Hackettstown since 2005. She was a member of the Emmanuel Bible Church in Hackettstown, and a longtime member of Bethlehem Church in Randolph, Gideons National Auxiliary and The Christian Womens Club, Stonecraft Bible Study and the Pioneer Girls. She was employed at Picatinny Arsenal during World War II. She was a devoted wife and wonderful homemaker for over 67 years. Survived by her son David R. Buchanan and wife Judith of Eagle River, AK; 3 daughters Lois Hansen and husband Ralph of Denville, Becky Hendricks of Newton and Nancy Erhard and husband Duane of Clay, NY; 12 grandchildren and their spouses; 28 great-grandchildren who all cherish fond memories; her brother Howard Solt and wife Marge of Belvedere and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her beloved husband Harold R. in 2010. Visitation Sunday, September 25th, 2011, 2 - 7 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will also be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 26th, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Trans World Radio, PO Box 8700, Cary, NC 27512 or HCJB Global, PO Box 39800, Colorado Springs, CO 80949-9800.
