John L. Kwasnik, 84, of Mine Hill passed on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Saint Clare’s Hospital, Dover. John was born in Wallington. He lived in East Rutherford and Rockaway before moving to Mine Hill in 1963.
John was a mechanical engineer at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Twp. for 31 years before his retirement in 1983. He served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW Post #2640 in Wallington and was a parishioner of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Wharton.
John is survived by his son Stanley J. of Mine Hill and two daughters Karen Sudol of Franklin and Diana Quintana of Kenvil. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2006.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Wharton (973)366-0184 on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 10AM. Visitation at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com) on Monday September 19, 2011 from 3-5PM & 7-9PM. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers donations to Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 West Blackwell St., Dover, NJ 07801.
