Dimitrios “Jimmy” Pagelos, 71, of Mine Hill, passed away after a brave battle with cancer on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Saint Clare’s Hospital, Dover. Jimmy was born in Platanovrysi, Greece. He came to the United States in 1966 but his deep rooted Greek heritage lives on in the stories he shared of his days growing up in his beloved village of Metzena. Jimmy owned the Village Diner in Milford, PA. and retired in 2010 after more than 30 years in the diner business. Jimmy had a passion for life and loved Greek music, dancing and being in his garden. He had a generous heart and was happiest when he could do for others. His way with words and sense of humor will live in our hearts forever. He was a devoted husband, father and family man. Jimmy is survived by his wife Akrivi “Voula” of 44 years, a daughter Maria Wall and husband William of Milford, PA., a son Agisilaos and wife Rousa of Stroudsburg, PA., three grandchildren- Lucas Dimitrios Rasselenberg, William Zenon Wall, and Anastasia Akrivi Pagelos, and a sister Nikolitsa Papagelopoulos of Greece. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 9, 2011, 11am at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, Randolph (973-584-0388). Visitation Thursday September 8, 2011, 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com). Interment at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
