James A. Heath Sr., 71, of Randolph passed away Tuesday, July 26th, 2011 at Regency Grande Nursing & Rehab. Center, Dover, following a long illness. James was born in Dover. He has been a resident of Randolph for 19 years and previously resided in Hampton Township for 21 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during Peacetime. He worked as a Tool, Die, and Machine Maker at E.J. Brooks, Newton, and retired in 2001 after 16 years. He had also worked as the General Manager of Plastifab in Randolph. Member and Past-President Garden State Numismatic Association; also member of the Washington Township Historical Society. James was a collector of stamps, coins, and Civil War Tokens and had owned a mail order business The Hampton House Coins & Collectibles. He was a geneologist, avid gardener, and loved working on his home. James is survived by Janet (Runsky) his wife of 50 years; three sons James A. Jr. and his wife Dilek of Hackettstown, David A. of Randolph, and Bill and his wife Susan of Bear, DE; two daughters Carol A. Tuck and her husband Duncan of Hibernia and Susan E. Cernek and her husband Michael of Vernon. Also survived by seven grandchildren Devin, James, Andrew, Didem, Nicholas, Sean, and Theodore; his brother Albert C. Heath and his wife Ruth of Ironia and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Norma Richert in 2008 and his parents Chester and Dorothy Heath. Visitation Thursday, July 28th, 2011, 7 - 9 PM (Only) at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Graveside Services will be held at Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 29th, 2011.
