Obituary of Geraldine M. Wardell

Geraldine M. Wardell, 88, of Florham Park, passed away Thursday, May 26th, 2011 at Merry Heart Nursing Home, Succasunna, following a short illness. Geraldine was born in Orange and has been a resident of Florham Park for the last 2 years, moved here from Whiting where she lived for 20 years. Prior to Whiting she had been a longtime resident of Morris Plains. She worked at the Morris County Board of Elections, Morristown, and retired in 1985 after 15 years. She was an accomplished violinist and as a young woman performed with the Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra. As a pastime, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was also known for her love of music and her singing. She will always be remembered for her fun-loving nature. Geraldine is survived by her two daughters Barbara Haggerty and her husband James of Whippany and Karen Feldman and her husband Carl of Flanders. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Robert Haggerty, Christine Creteau, Nicole and Christopher Feldman. Four great-grandchildren: Joseph and Molly Haggerty and Laurène and Clara Creteau. Predeceased in 2002 by Edward, her loving husband of 57 years. Visitation Tuesday, May 31st, 2011, 6 - 9 P.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 1st, 2011, 10:00 A.M. (www.tuttlefh.com). Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
