Obituary of John P. Handshaw

John P. Handshaw, 87, of Oxford, passed away Tuesday, April 5th, 2011 at Oxford Nursing Home, Oxford following a short illness. John was born in Smithtown, NY (Long Island) and has been a resident of Oxford for 2 years. He previously resided in Randolph. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked as a Engineer at Bendix Corporation, Teterboro and retired in the mid 1980's after 25 years. He loved working in his yard, taking rides throughout New Jersey, and spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by two daughters Betsy Swisshelm of Oxford and Karen Byers of Mansfield and his son Bruce of Morris County. Also survived by two grandchildren Matthew and Jessica Byers and two great-grandchildren Peyton and McKenzie. Predeceased by his wife Evelyn in 2009. Visitation Saturday, April 9th, 2011, 2 - 4 P.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. Funeral Services will be held also at the funeral home on Satruday at 3:30 P.M..
