Sophie Buonocore, 90, of Hopatcong passed away after a short illness on Friday December 20, 2013 at Morris View Healthcare Center, Morris Plains. Mrs. Buonocore was born in New York, NY and has resided in Hopatcong since 1995. Before her retirement, she was a teletype operator for Lummus Engineering and May Company in New York, NY. Sophie is survived by her husband Catello of 68 years; son John and his wife Kathleen, and two grandchildren- Michael and Stephanie. She is predeceased by her grandson Jeffrey in 2003. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's Greek Orthodox Church, 1447 Sussex Turnpike, Randolph (973-584-0388) on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 9:30AM. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester. Arrangements by Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com).
