Sigurd A. Johnson, 90, of Hackettstown, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, March 9th, 2011 at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover. Sigurd was born in Wildwood and has been a resident of Hackettstown since 2004, moved here from Landing where he had lived for 63 years. He was a Parishioner at St. Therese R.C. Church in Succasunna. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Staff Sgt. during WW II. Sigurd worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Nichols Engineering & Research, Belle Mead, NJ, and retired in 1967 after 35 years. Member of the V.F.W. Post #2833 of Kenvil, the American Legion Post #278 of Stanhope/Netcong, the Marine Corps League LCPL Slattery Detachment and the Forever Young Seniors of Roxbury. Survived by his son John H. and his wife Beverly of Hackettstown, three grandchildren Kim, Erik, and Craig and also four great-grandchildren Taylor, Allie, Mikayla, and Dakota. Predeceased by his wife Helen in 2007. Visitation Monday, March 14th, 2011, 3-5 & 7-9 P.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 15th, 2011 at 10:00 A.M.. Interment will follow at Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery, Succasunna.
