Louise W. Woodward died Friday, February 18, 2011 at Holly Manor Center in Mendham after a short illness. Born in Morristown, she was the daughter of Charles G. Pfeiffer, Jr., and Annie J. (Richards) Pfeiffer. She resided there until moving to Randolph with her family in 1948. In 1952 she was a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Chemical Engine Company #3 (Mt. Freedom) of the Randolph Township Fire Department, and remained an active member for the rest of her long and full life. Her husband of 65 years, James B. Woodward, preceded her in death in 2005. Surviving are two sons, James B. II of Winnemucca, NV., and John C. of Santa Barbara, CA.; three grandchildren, Christopher, Lara and Craig; and two great- grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Randolph Chemical Engine Company #3, 670 Millbrook Ave., Randolph, N.J. 07869, Attn.: Fire Chief.
