Margaret M. Holland, 88, of Rockaway, passed away Tuesday, March 1st, 2011 at home, following a long illness. Margaret was born in Newark, and has been a resident of Rockaway since 1997, moved here from Jefferson Township. She worked as the Secretary to the Editor for the Newark Evening News, Newark and retired in 1954 after 18 years. She also worked as an Office Manager for I.B.E.W. Union in Union from 1967 - 1988. Member of the National Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Survived by her daughter Mary Ann McSkimming and husband David; two grandchildren Meghan and David; two brothers Herman "Gus" Wolff and Charles Wolff and wife Maureen. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by her husband John Anthony Holland, two sisters Ann Smith and husband Elwood "Burt" and Teresa Wolff. Visitation Thursday, March 3rd, 2011, 3-5 & 7-9 P.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia's R.C. Church, 70 Church Street, Rockaway, (973-627-0313) at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 4th, 2011. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to V.N.A. (Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice Care), 175 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960 (VNANNJ.org.)
