Obituary of Barbara A. Wilson

Barbara (Kast) Wilson, 77, Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away February 6, 2011, in her home. She was born in Englewood, NJ and was the daughter of the late Louis and Dorothea Kast. She was the wife of Earl Wilson, with whom she shared 16 wonderful years until his passing in 2002. Barbara graduated from St. Cecilia’s High School in 1952. She was employed by Hope House, providing services for individuals in their home. She enjoyed working, and loved the clients she worked with. She was a dedicated member of the Mount Fern United Methodist Church in Randolph, NJ and was involved in many aspects of the church. Most recently, she organized a soup sale on Super Bowl Sunday. Barbara is survived by 3 children, Wendy Wilson, wife of Aaron Sapiro, Franklin Township, Lisa Wilson (partner of Jim Eagan) of Massachusetts and Gene Wilson (husband of Catherine Serventi) of Pennsylvania. There are also 4 grandchildren (Adam, Anjali, Shyam and Asha) and 2 great-grandchildren (Amir and Koby.) Barbara was the youngest of 6 children, all of whom are still living and will miss her deeply. Henry Kast, wife Jane, Maywood; Eunice Hasser-Canavan, Skillman; Dorothy Vogel, husband Gerald, St. Louis, MO; Genevieve Dunkle, Reading, PA; Louis Kast, Pittsburgh, PA. Her 21 nieces and nephews, who always considered her to be the life of the party, will also miss her. She was pre-deceased by a nephew, Jamie Hasser, whom she dearly loved. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011, 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Fern United Methodist Church, 443 Quaker Church Road, Randolph (973.366.4418). A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to the Mt.
