Obituary of Edward J. Kraiger

Edward J. Kraiger, 92, of Randolph, passed away at Morris View Nursing Home, Morris Township, Monday, January 10th, 2011. Born in Paterson, Edward has been a resident of Randolph since 1962. He was a Parishioner of Resurrection Parish, Randolph. He served in the U.S. Army as a Seargent during WW II, from 1941 - 1945, Pacific Theatre, where he received several medals. He worked as a Department Manager for the A & P Supermarket, Dover, and retierd in the mid 1980's after 35 years. He served 38 years with Randolph Township as a Special Police Officer and as a Baliff with the municipal court. He was Past-President of the Randolph Police Reserves and member of F.O.P. Lodge #25 for 30 years. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Regina Munde Council #3969 of Clifton. He also worked for the Tuttle Funeral Home for 10 years as a doorman, where he was affectionately known as "Beloved Ed". Edward is survived by two daughters Carolyn Singleton of PA and Maryann Villone and husband Dennis of Chester; four grandchildren Mark, Kimberly, Dennis, and Richard; four great-grandchildren and one "due" Nicholas, Sydney, Erica, and Tyler. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Joan in 2010. Visitation Friday, January 14th, 2011, 3-5 & 7- 9 P.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home, 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 15th, 2011. Entombment will follow at Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover.
