Bernadina (nee Cicchetti) Milano, 85 of Randolph, died on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at her home surrounded by family. Bernadina was born in Morristown, the daughter of Assunta (nee Gregori) and Domenico Cicchetti. She and her late husband Thomas married in 1948 at Sacred Heart Church in Dover. They lived in Dover for 63 years, moving to Randolph in 1978. Bernadina graduated Dover High School in 1948. She worked at the Veteran’s Administration in Newark, where she met her beloved husband of 52 years. Bernadina was a loving wife, homemaker, and mother of six. After raising her children, she returned to work at ITT Rayonier and for the Morris County Superintendant of Schools, retiring in 1995. She was an active member of Catholic Daughters of America Court 881, Resurrection Parish, Women of Faith, Sacred Heart Leisure Club, Sacred Heart Mother’s Guild, Mother of Twins Club, and a Trustee of Dover Public Library. Bernadina was an avid reader and loved traveling. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 2000 and son-in-law Julius Wargacki in 2003. She is survived by 2 sons Constantino MiIano and wife Harriet, Domenick Milano, all of Randolph, and 4 daughters Michelle Wargacki of Randolph, Philomena Milano of Dover, Bernadina Janin and husband John of Wharton, and Bernadette Lengyel and husband James of Wharton. She leaves behind her beloved brother Frank Cicchetti and wife Mary, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bernadina was a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren Michelle Kelts and husband Heath, Matthew Milano and wife Meghan, Vanessa Tregenza, Mark Milano, Thomas Wargacki, Megan Milano, Andrew Milano, Christopher Milano, Gabriella Lengyel, Abigail Lengyel, Bailey Lengyel, Brandon Janin, John Janin, Alex Janin, and great-grandchildren, Carlina Fernicola and Conor Kelts.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, State Route 10 West Randolph on Tuesday, January 4, from 3-5pm and 7-9pm (tuttlefh.com). Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass Wednesday, January 5, at 10:00am, Resurrection Parish, Randolph, followed by interment at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. Donations may be made in her memory to Catholic Daughters, Court 881 at 47 E. Sterling St., Wharton NJ, 07885.
