Obituary of Scott Roger Williams

Scott Roger Williams, 61, of Mendham, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010. Scott studied engineering at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where he met his wife of forty years, Ingrid Ottoson of Randolph, New Jersey. Above all, Scott believed in giving back to the community: He promoted diversity in the workplace during his successful thirty-year career at Public Service Electric & Gas, served as the Board President of the Mendham Borough Public Schools, and as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Montclair State University. He also taught accounting and management courses at Morris County and Centenary Colleges. Scott was the beloved husband of Ingrid Ottoson Williams, and the loving father of Michael Scott Williams and Jennifer Williams Dumont, and their families. He is also survived by his brother Jan Williams, grandchildren Jos Pierre Dumont, Aiden Michael Williams, and Juliette Laure Dumont, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Scott is remembered by his family and former students as a loving guide, teacher, husband and father, and friend to all. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph on Sunday, January 2, 2011, from 1:00 – 5:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 3, 2011, and/or friends may attend a Memorial Service Saturday, January 15, 2011, 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
