John C. Gaffney Jr., 64, of Madison, passed away Wednesday, December 15th, 2010 at Pine Acres Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Madison following a long illness. Born in Athens, GA, John has been a resident of Washington for 29 years, moved here from Rockaway.
Member of the Warren County A.R.C. Social Club, Past-President of the Self Advocacy Group of Warren A.R.C. and was king of his prom at the A.R.C. Workshop. He also participated in the Special Olympics. He was an avid Rod Stewart, Yankees, and Wrestling fan. He loved animals and his group home.
John is survived by two sisters Linda Gaffney of Rockaway Township and Diana Cole of Valley View, TX, two aunts Nell Collins and Frances Austin both of Winder, GA. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his extended family at A.R.C.
Memorial Visitation Saturday, December 18th, 2010, 12 Noon - 1:00 P.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). A Memorial Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to The A.R.C. of Warren County, P.O. Box 389, Washington, NJ 07882.
