Donald C. Holmes, 86, of Succasunna, passed away Tuesday, November 30th, 2010 at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover following a long illness. Born in Wallkill, NY he has been a resident of Roxbury Township since 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He worked as a Packaging Mechanic at Warner-Lambert Company Morris Plains. Retired in early 1970's after 30 years in pharmaceuticals. Established Troop #159 and was their Scout Master for over ten years at Lutheran Church, Roxbury. Past Govenor Moose Lodge #541, Dover. Member of V.F.W. Post #2833, Kenvil. Survived by Concetta, his wife of 61 years; son Harold and wife Janet of South, NJ and daughter Maria Harding and husband James of Delaware. Also surived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his son Frank. Visitation Thursday, December 2nd, 2010, 3-5 & 7-9 P.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass will be held at St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna, at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, December 3rd, 2010. Interment will follow at Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery, Succasunna. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
