Robert S. Chapman, 71, of Mine Hill, passed away Monday, October 25th, 2010, at Care One, Madison. Born in Montclair, he has been a resident of Mine Hill Township since 1972. Formerly of Freehold. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Stocks & Securities Clerk at Citibank, New York City, NY and retired in 2002 after 42 years. Passionately involved with the Mine Hill Boy Scout Troop #145 for over 25 years. Also an active leader in several Mine Hill community organizations including the First Aid Squad. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Gaetana; three children Michael R. and wife Sharon of Englishtown, Jeannine M. Chapman of Bedminster and Kyle R. of Jefferson. Also survived by his brother Richard of Caldwell and two grandchildren Madison and Justin. Visitation Wednesday, October 27th, 2010, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, October 28th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to Mine Hill First Aid Squad, 10 Baker Street, Mine Hill, NJ 07803.
