Obituary of Walter J. Meisner

Walter J. Meisner,85 of Ledgewood passed away on Thursday,October 21, 2010 at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare's Hospital in Dover after a short illlness. Mr. Meisner lived in Ledgewood for 37 years,prior to that he had lived in Jersey City, where he was also born. He was a Stock Clerk for Varityper in East Hanover until his retirement in 1990, he also worked many years as a Bellman for the Hotel Manhattan in NYC. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post # 391 of Mine Hill, the D.A.V. Post # 63 of Dover and was a parishioner of St. Therese R.C. Church in Succasunna. He is survived by Eleanor,his beloved wife of 63 years. His two sons:Joseph J. of Ledgewood and Robert of Bluffton,S.C.. His daughter: Sharon Leone of Hackettstown and also his Granddaughter Tara Meisner of Mt. Arlington. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 2-6 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10 West,Randolph www.Tuttlefh.com The Funeral Mass will be on Monday,October 25, 2010 at 10:00AM at St. Therese R.C. Church in Succasunna.
