Edna B. Bakke, 73, of Rockaway Township, passed away Friday, October 15th, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown following a short illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Edna has been a resident of Rockaway Township for 26 years.
She worked as an Executive Secretary at Asiel Company, New York, NY., retired in 2009 after 54 years.
Survived by her husband John of 26 years; two children Jeffrey S. and Julie Ann Hickson; 8 grandchildren; brother Roy Hagen and 3 nephews and a niece. Predeceased by her son Steven.
Visitation Wednesday, October 20th, 2010, 2-4 & 6-7 P.M. at Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church, 113 South Hillside Avenue, Succasunna, NJ 07876 (973-584-7410). Funeral Services will be held at the church on Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.. Closing service will be Thursday, October 21st, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the church. Interment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, NY (718-351-1870).
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to Hopesprings Community of Faith Church, 301 Market Street, Bangor, PA 18013.
