Andrew Strelec, 78, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, October 5th, 2010 at home following a long illness. Born in Morristown, he has resided there for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as an Auto Mechanic at Madison Tire Company, Madison, retired in 1992 after 37 years. He loved fishing and woodworking, and was known as "Handy Andy" to his friends and neighbors. Andrew is survived by Edith, his beloved wife of 52 years; his daughter Cindi Dexter and her husband Tad of Roxbury, three sons John and his wife Andrea of Hanover Township, Thomas and his wife Rosemary of Morris Township, and Peter and Cindy of Roxbury. Also survived by eight grandchildren Matt and his wife Melissa, Sarah, Melissa, Jason, Jen, Rebecca, Ryan, and Andrew and fourteen brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, October 8th, 2010, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, October 9th, 2010, 10:00 a.m. (www.tuttlefh.com). Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to either Atlantic Home Care & Hospice, 33 Bleeker Street, Millburn, NJ 07041 or Carol G. Simon Cancer Center, 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07962.
