Obituary of John J. Marsico

John J. Marsico, 60, resident of Succasunna for 28 years, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a store Director at the Acme Markets for 38 years, most recently in Mt. Freedom. He was a recipient of many leadership and management awards at Acme Markets. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1972. John attended St. Josephs University, PA for leadership management. Mr. Marsico was a member of UNICO (Italian American Club), the chairman of Democratic Party in Hopatcong from 1980 to 1982. John was an avid golfer, and was a die-hard Jets and Yankees fan. He is survived by his wife Sally of 34 years, his daughter Jennifer Marsico, two sons Ralph Ventriglia and wife Vivian, Gene and his wife Jennifer. His four grandsons Eric, Anthony, Dominic, and Alex, his two sisters Maryann Swinarsky, and Phyllis Medina. Also, survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. John is predeceased by his brother Tommy. Funeral Mass will be held at The Church of St. Joseph, 6 New Street, Mendham NJ 07945 (973-543-5950) at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 15, 2010.
