Harold D. "Scotty" Jenkins, 84, Rockaway Township. Born and raised in Dover,he moved to Rockaway Twp. 51 years ago. He passed away on September 4,2010 at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare's Hospital in Dover. He was a salesman for McCormick Spice Co. for 29 years,retiring in 1986. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the European and Pacific Theaters as a Gunner from 1943 to 1946.He was a member of Jeptha Lodge # 233 of Rockaway Free & Accepted Masons and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Sussex County Forest # 37. Mr. Jenkins is survived by Catherine"Kay", his wife of 49 years,his three sons: David of Rockaway Twp., Scott of Anniston,AL and Jimmy of Rockaway Twp. and his two daughters: Terry Jenkins of Rockawy Twp. and Donna Jenkins of Vero Beach,Fl. he is also survived by 8 grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his son Robert in July, 2010 and also his sister Isabel Wasko. A vistitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 3-5 and 7-9pm at Tuttle Funeral Home,272 Route 10 West, Randolph www.Tuttlefh.com . The funeral will be on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 10:00am also at the funeral home.Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Birchwood Fire Dept., 4 Art St., Dover,NJ 07801.
