Obituary of Harold R. Buchanan

Harold R Buchanan, 89, of Hackettstown, passed away at home, Thursday, July 22nd, 2010. He was a member of the Emmanuel Bible Church, Hackettstown and former longtime member of the Bethlehem Church, Randolph. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during WWII. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker - Industrial Technician at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Township, and retired in 1972. Member of Gideons International and also the Christian Businessmen's Association (CBMC). Survived by his wife of 67 years Ruth E. (Solt) Buchanan; 1 son David R. Buchanan and wife Judith of Eagle River, Alaska, 3 daughters Lois Hansen and husband Ralph of Denville, Becky L. Hendricks of Newton and Nancy and husband Duane Erhard of Clay, NY; 12 grandchildren and their spouses and 26 great-grandchildren who cherish fond memories. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, July 29, 2010, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30th, 2010 at the funeral home.
