Obituary of Rosa Ruiz-Mendoza

Thursday April 2, 2009 10:00 am Mass Rosa Ruiz-Mendoza Mrs. Rosa Ruiz-Mendoza, 81, of Hackettstown passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her granddaughters home in Hackettstown following a long illness. Resident of Hackettstown for the last 4 years, moved here from Dover where she had lived for over 40 years. Mrs. Ruiz-Mendoza was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico. She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Dover. She worked as a machine operator at Ludwig Corporation, Parsippany. Retired in 1973 after 20 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved attending church. Survived by three sons Nelson Ruiz of Puerto Rico, Luis Angel Ruiz of Dover, and William Ruiz of Dover; four daughters Virginia Lorenzo of Dover, Margarita Ruiz-Suarez of Puerto Rico, Maria Luisa Cerda of Passaic and Iris Feliciano of Hackettstown; and one brother Serifin Mendoza of Puerto Rico. Also survived by 18 grandchildren including David, Melissa, Taina, and J.R., who were very dear to her heart; 17 great-grandchildren including her beloved A.J. and Isaiah. Predeceased by her husband Ceferino Ruiz in 1984 and her son Victor Manuel Ruiz in 2004. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Dover, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009.
