Obituary of Anthony Russo

Anthony Russo, 82, of Mine Hill, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at TheValley Hospital in Ridgewood. He was born in Laviano, Italy on October 8th 1927. Anthony later came to America on the S.S Vulcania when he was 21 years old, on May 15th 1948. Anthony lived in Newark, married Concetta and moved to Orange in 1957. They moved to Mine Hill in 1966. He worked in the garment industry for many years and later opened his own tailoring business. Anthony loved home wine making, fishing, gardening, and the ocean. When he was younger he had his small engine pilot license and loved to fly. He is survived by his loving wife Concetta, his daughter Antonia Russo, his son Daniel Russo and wife Rose, and two grandchildren Ryan and Brandon, and two sisters Philomena Ciottariello, and Emilia Masselli, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Michael, Alfredo, Mario, Settimia, and Rosa. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 3rd, 2010, 9:00 AM at St. Mary’s R.C Church, Wharton. (973-366-0184) Visitation will be held Friday, July 2nd, 2010, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Rt. 10 West Randolph.
