Obituary of Amy Leah Cooney

Amy Leah Cooney, age 40, of Florham Park died on June 16th after a courageous battle with breast cancer for over 17 months. Amy was born in Paterson, NJ to Alfred and Elodie Villoresi and resided in Morris County for many years. She was a graduate of Villa Walsh Academy and Fairfield University. Amy lived in Manhattan for more than ten years and worked in the fashion industry for a number of prominent designers and more significantly it was in New York City that she met her husband Matthew Cooney. Amy’s legacy will be that of a loving daughter, wife, sister and friend to countless individuals. She is survived by her husband Matt, son John and daughter Elodie, her father Alfred and step-mother Carol Villoresi of Henryville, PA, her brother and sister in-law Mark & Hilary Villoresi of Flanders, NJ , sisters and brothers in-law Beth & Jim Tomblin of Morristown NJ, Allison & Jodi Litus of Yardley PA, Jennifer & Dan Loiodice of Henryville PA, Chris & Marylou Cooney of Severn, MD and 16 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elodie Villoresi. Family and friends will be received at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph, NJ from 2-4PM and 6-9PM on Friday, June 18th. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Assumption Church in Morristown, NJ at 10AM on Saturday, June 19th.
