Obituary of Evelyn M. Caskey

Friday March 27, 2009 10:00 am Evelyn M. Caskey Beloved Mother and Grandmother Mine Hill - Evelyn M. Caskey passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 at Merry Heart Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Succasunna. She was 98. Mrs. Caskey was born in Browns Mills, at a young age she moved to Mine Hill. She attended the Pemberton Township School District. She married Louis L. Caskey on May 1, 1937, in Mine Hill. Mrs. Caskey was a homemaker who liked to cook, sew and work on crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Mine Hill Presbyterian Church where she taught sunday school for many years. She was also a lifetime member of the Mine Hill Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Mine Hill Senior Citizens Club. She treasured most her family and her cat Toby. She is predeceased by her husband, Louis in 1982; her grandson Gary in 2007; and her sister-in-law Luella Kelly in 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Baker of Flanders; a son, Louis and his wife, Bonnie of Landing; five grandsons, Russell Baker of Pine Brook, Donald Baker of Flanders, Robert Baker and his wife, Patricia of Landing, Michael Baker of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and Eric Caskey of Landing; one granddaughter, Shari Colwell and her husband, George of Tampa, FL; her sister-in-law, Caroline Taylor of Browns Mills; her niece, Elizabeth Lang of Toms River; seven great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren and several other family members and dear friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 27, 2009, 10 a.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. Visitation Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
