James J. Loftus, 84, of Dover, passed away suddenly at home, Wednesday, May 12th, 2010. Born in Olyphant, PA, he has resided in Dover since 1965. He has been a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Dover, since 1965. He served in the U.S. Marines in WW II - South Pacific Theatre. He worked as a Railroad Inspector for the Federal Railroad Administration, Newark, and retired in 1990. Survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Therese; two daughters Mary Clare Cahill and husband Michael of Bedminster and Eileen Berlin and husband Steve of Wharton. Also survived by his sister Ann Kane of Cranberry and granddaughter Danielle Berlin. Predeceased by his brother Timothy P. in 2002. Visitation Thursday, May 13, 2010, 3 - 5 & 7 - 9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 14, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Dover. Interment will be May 15, 2010 at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, PA.
