Obituary of Philip W. Chrashewsky

Mr. Philip W. Chrashewsky, 73, of Dover passed away Monday, March 22nd, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown following a long illness. Resident of Dover for 48 years, moved here from East Orange. Mr. Chrashewsky was born in Newark. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Dover for 48 years. He worked as a Manager, in the Valve Engineering Department at Automatic Switch, Florham Park, and retired in 1998 after 43 years. He was a coach for the Dover Little League, the Equipment Manager for Dover Midget Football and President of the Dover High School Football Booster Club. He received his Associates Degree in Engineering at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was an active participant in the Mind Body Integration Fund Program at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center. He was also on the Trap Shooting Team at Automatic Switch. He was an avid fisherman, and loved attending his grandchildren's activities. Survived by his wife Jane, of 52 years; his two sons Philip Chrashewsky Jr. and his wife Penny of Seymour, IN and Peter Chrashewsky and his wife Patty of Toms River; his daughter Nancy Brady of Rockaway Township; four grandchildren Michael, Brian, Dan, and Kim; his sister Stella Wnek of Whippany, one nephew Robert Wnek and one niece Heidi Gericke and his sister-in-law Judy Gericke of Surfside, SC. Predeceased by his nephew Kenneth Wnek in 2008. Visitation Wednesday, March 24th, 2010, 4 - 8 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 123 East Blackwell Street, Dover, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 25th, 2010. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either Trinity Lutheran Church, 123 East Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801 or Mind Body Integration Fund at Carol G. Simon Cancer Center, 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07962.
