Obituary of Mary June Lewis

Mrs. Mary June Lewis, 85, of Succasunna died Friday, March 5, 2010 at her residence after a long illness. Visitation will be on Monday, March 8, 2010, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Rt. 10 West, Randolph Township. (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna (973-584-8271). Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester. Born in St. Louis County, Mo., Mrs. Lewis lived in Massa-pequa, N.Y., for 17 years before moving to Succasunna in 1978. Before retiring in the late 1980's, she was a Catholic school teacher for St. Mary's Catholic School, Wharton. Previously, she taught at St. Francis DeChantal Catholic School, Wantagh, N.Y., for 13 years. She was a 32-year parishioner of St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna. Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles "Bill"; six children, Kathleen Maier of Rockville, Md., Peggy Baker of Mt. Airy, Md., Thomas of Jupiter, Fla., Mark of Nazareth, Pa., Greg of Succasunna, and Eileen Lewis of Columbia; five grandchildren, Mario, Gina, Lindsey, Mary, and Michael; sister, Betty Galibert. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St. P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, N.Y. 13057.
