Obituary of Mary A. Murphy

Mary A. Murphy, 91, died peacefully March 4, 2010 at the Regency Grande Nursing Center in Dover. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born in Yonkers, NY on March 18, 1918 she grew up in Jersey City. Mary worked at the American Can Company and Pickwick Restaurant in Jersey City before moving to Boonton in 1962. She worked at Lake French Cleaners in Lake Hiawatha until her retirement in 1999. She moved to Rockaway Twp in 2004 and then became a resident of the Regency Grande in Dover in 2008. The family wishes to thank everyone at the Regency Grande especially the 6th floor staff for all the love and care they gave her. Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Studeny of Rockaway Twp, 3 grandchildren, Donna Buechel and John of Newfoundland, NJ, Michael Studeny and Linda Lou of Wheat Ridge, CO and Laura Prohidney and Steve of Stewartsville, NJ, 5 great-grandchildren, John, Stephanie, Thomas, Stephen and Cora. A sister Suzanne Rak and a brother Michael Sabados. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 3-7 pm at the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Hwy. 10, Randolph, NJ (www.tuttlefh.com). Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 8, 2010 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 4 Richards Ave., Dover. Interment will take place following Mass at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 532 Lafayette Rd., Sparta, NJ 07871
