Obituary of Peter J. Scimenes

Mr. Peter J. Scimenes, 80, of Fort Myers, FL passed away at home, Saturday, February 27th, 2010 following a short illness. Resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1998, moved here from Randolph, NJ where he resided from 1952-1998 and prior to that Rockaway 1929-1952. Mr. Scimenes was born in Rockaway, NJ. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dover and also Cypress Lakes United Methodist Church, Fort Myers, FL. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Founder and former owner of P.J.'s Plumbing Supply Company, Dover, NJ and retired in 1996 after 30 years in business. Member NJ State League of Master Plumbers, Lakeland Area Master Plumbers Association, U.A. Local #523 Plumbers & Steamfitters, Dover. Survived by his wife of 57 years Lois (Jagger); his three children Sue Propert and her husband Jim of Fort Myers, FL, Peter Scimenes and his wife Nancy of Randolph, and Sally Aarons of Fort Myers, FL. Also survived by three grandchildren; Zachary Propert, Michele Jefferson, and Nina Scimenes. Visitation Friday, March 5th, 2010, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph, NJ (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 6th, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Rockaway Presbyterian Cemetery, Rockaway, NJ.
