Mr. Willie C. Lawrence, 69, of Dover passed away Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover following a short illness. Resident of Dover since 1966. Mr. Lawrence was born in Abbeville, AL. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Dover, where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He worked as a Cafeteria Manager at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown and retired in 2000 after 23 years. Past Master Mason of King Soloman Lodge #32, Newark. Avid golfer and member of Peace Pipe Country Club, Denville. Survived by his wife Henrietta Blakely Lawrence of 45 years; three daughters Monica Hall and husband Randolph of Smyrna, DE, Michelle Lawrence and fiancee Olvin Roberts of Dover, and Sharon Lawrence of Roanoke, VA. Also survived by three grandchildren Randolph II, Melayna, and Malcom; his sister Novell Williams of Orange, his brother Buster, Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Baltimore, MD and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Sunday, February 28th, 2010, 3 - 7 p.m., Masonic Service 5:30 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph. Funeral Services will be Monday, March 1st, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. (www.tuttlefh.com) Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131.
