Obituary of Roberta Joan Monnia

Roberta Joan “Joanie” Monnia, 84, of Wharton, passed away, after a long illness, on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Compassionate Care Hospice, St. Clare’s Hospital, Dover. Roberta graduated from Berkeley College in East Orange in 1950. She worked as a Buyer for RCA Records, Rockaway, and retired in 1983 after more than 30 years. She also worked part time for Food Town in Wharton and Shoprite in Rockaway. She loved cats, playing Bingo and Bonko. She was a member of Wharton Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Monnia-Agron of Wharton; two grandchildren Dana Monnia and Steve Agron both of Wharton; one great grandson Aiden Monnia; sister Betty McNaughten of Mine Hill and five nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Richard and Hazel Doggett and her sister Dorothy Edwards. Visitation Monday, February 27, 2017, 3:00-5:00PM & 7:00-9:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Tuesday, February 28, 2017, 10:30AM also at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Millbrook Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to 11th Hour Rescue, P.O. Box 218, Rockaway, NJ 07866.
