Obituary of Marvin E. Grant

Marvin E. Grant, Sr., 94, of Denville, passed away on Monday, June 13th, 2016, at Holly Manor Center, Mendham. He was born in Tuckerton and served in the US Army during WWII in both Japan and Hawaii. Marvin was a Police Officer for the Dover Police Department for 27 years and retired in 1977. He was a past president of the Dover Seniors, member of the Wharton Seniors and the Dover PBA #107 for 27 years. After his retirement, he worked as a crossing guard for the Dover Elementary Schools for 11 years. He is survived by his loving companion Elizabeth Dingman for 19 years; son Marvin, Jr., of Denville, daughter Linda Bidetti of Hillsborough and grandson Christopher Bidetti. Predeceased by his wife Marjorie in 1997. Visitation Wednesday, June 15th, 2016, 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Thursday, June 16th, 2016, 10:30 AM, also at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
