Obituary of Herbert Daniel Goldenberg

Herbert Goldenberg, formerly of Boonton, passed away at Merry Heart nursing home in Succasunna onThursday, May 19, 2016. He was 88 years old. Herb had a long and successful life. He owned Bill's Village Florist in Del's Village, Boonton for 30 years, and played trumpet in his own popular wedding band called the Herb Daniel’s Combo in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. He was past president of the Boonton Jewish Center and of the Boonton Chamber of Commerce, was a longtime member of Rotary International and was an active member of the Boonton Historical Society and Museum. He is survived by five children: Alane Homer of Blacksburg VA, Dennis Goldenberg of Hackettstown NJ, Joyce Goldenberg of Allentown PA and Larry and Andrew Goldenberg of Hyannis MA. He also has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation Sunday, May 22, 2016, 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (www.tuttlefh), with a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus. Donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
