Obituary of Dennis Paul Ferrara

Dennis Paul Ferrara, 69, of Randolph, passed away Saturday, February 6th, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family following a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. He was born in Newark and grew up in East Orange and has been a resident of Randolph since 1976. Dennis served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrician for Schering- Plough, Kenilworth, from where he retired in August 2011, after 34 years. He was a member of the Kenilworth V.F.W. Post #2230. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. Dennis is survived by Elaine, his wife of 45 years; two children Darren and his wife Caralynn of Flanders and Dana Subocz and her husband Barry of Morris Plains; four grandchildren Jack, Morgan, Ava and Gavin; his sister-in-law Linda Manzella and her husband Ron of Union. Also survived by his cousins Marianne Haynes, Joe and Rosanne Bruno, Paul and Marilyn Bruno, Reyanne and Doug Freeman. Predeceased by his mother Julia (nee Torlucci) Ferrara. Visitation Thursday, February 11, 2016, 4:00-8:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Friday, February 12, 2016, 10:00AM at the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains, 400 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
