Obituary of Timothy Principal

Timothy Charles Principal of Toms River, NJ passed away in his home on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Tim, or “Timo” to his friends, was born on October 4, 1960, in Morristown, NJ. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1979 and was involved in wrestling and soccer. Shortly after High School, he attended Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in Paris, France graduating with honors. He worked in many fine restaurants in New Jersey & New York and enjoyed his cooking passion for most of his life. He was an avid fisherman, happy casting a line into the surf.

Tim is survived by his mother, Phyllis Principal, his sister and her husband, Diane & Douglas Bull and his nephew and wife, Richard & Faith Bull. He is also survived by his partner’s family, Jonnalyn & Glenn Bodow and their daughters, Hunter & Peyton Bodow, who lovingly knew Tim as “Pop-Pop”, and by many precious cousins and friends made throughout his life. Tim was predeceased by his father, Thomas J. Principal, Jr. and his adored partner of 22 years, Donna DiRocco.

 Visitation Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm with a Funeral Service 5:00 pm at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10, Randolph NJ (www.tuttlefh.com). Interment is private.  

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests any remembrances be donated to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, Paterson in Tim’s name.
