Gertrude Goddard Age 86 Randolph N.J. Loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. Gertrude Goddard, 86, of Roxbury passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Gertrude was born on December 13, 1928 in New York City, NY. Gertrude was a Randolph resident for 50 years before moving to Cedar Knolls and then to Merry Heart Assisted Living in Roxbury. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson Vocational High School in NY, then worked for at ATT in NYC. She relocated to Dover in 1954 and started raising her family. In 1970, she began as church secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover and continued to serve until 2005. Gertrude was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 60 years. Gertrude enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and volunteering. She is survived by her three children, Ron Goddard and wife, Cathy, of Plano, Texas, Peter Goddard of Seattle, Washington, and Christine Gibbs and husband, Harry, of Byram, New Jersey, four grandchildren David Goddard and wife Angela Krause, Lori Lamb and husband Michael, Stephen Gibbs and wife Nicole, Sean Gibbs and wife Kelly; and two great grandchildren Maeve Goddard and Nicholas Gibbs. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Herbert Goddard, and her brother William Alefeld. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015, 2:00 pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
