Obituary of Warren R. Swan

Warren R. Swan, 63, of Oak Ridge, passed away suddenly, Thursday, July 30th, 2015 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown. Warren was born in Passaic, and was a resident of Oak Ridge for the last year. He formerly resided in Flanders for 30 years. He worked as a Dock Worker at Yellow Freight System, Pine Brook and retired in 2009 after 27 years. After his retirement he was a caretaker for St. Joseph's Church and School in Mendham for 6 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Church for 30 years where he was part of the Men's Ministry and participated in a mission trip for Hurricane Katrina. He was very involved in the church and served part-time as the church custodian. He was a car buff and liked attending car shows, though mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by Pattie, his wife of 41 years; six children Lynn Hill of Taylorsville, KY, Jenny Swenson and husband Brian of Hopatcong, Warren Jr. and wife Kerrie of Budd Lake, Peter of Allentown, PA, Janet Matthis and husband Randal of Mine Hill and Nathan of Atlantic City; four grandchildren Taylor, Lucas, Fallon and Randal and one grandchild on the way. He is also survived by two brothers Dave Swan of Pittsboro, NC and Jimmy Swan and wife Denise of Butler and one sister Dianna Reinstra and husband Mark of Landsdale, PA and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Raymond in 2001 and his parents Raymond and Olga Swan. Visitation Monday, August 3, 2015, 3:00 PM - 5 :00 PM & 7:00 PM - 9 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Tuesday, August 4, 2015, 10:00 AM at the Bethlehem Church, Randolph. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Market Street Mission, 9 Market Street, Morristown, NJ 07960.
