John Damkas, 80, of Dover, passed away Friday, February 20th, 2015 at Kindred Hospital, Dover. John was born in Greece, has been a resident of Dover since 1984 and previously resided in Kearny.
He was the former owner of Dick's Diner in Dover and retired in 2002.
Member of St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Randolph. He was also a member of AHEPA and the Society of Thebieon.
Survived by his wife Panagiota; two children Athanasios and Despina Damkas both of Dover and one brother and two sisters in Greece.
Visitation Wednesday, February 25, 2015, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph ( www.tuttlefh.com ).
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015, 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, Randolph. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 1447 Sussex Turnpike, Randolph, NJ 07869.
