Joan P. Roscher, 81, of Pocono Pines, PA, passed away following a long illness on Sunday, December 21st, 2014 at Arden Courts, Whippany, NJ. She was born in Paterson, NJ and was a resident of Morristown, NJ for 14 years before moving to Pocono Pines, PA. She was a substitute teacher for the Morris School District and Mt. Pocono School District for over 10 years. Joan received her bachelors degree in Economics from Drew University, Madison, NJ. Joan was an active member of the Church of the Redeemer, Morristown, NJ and Trinity Episcopal Church, Mt. Pocono, PA. She was the president of Greystone Park Association and volunteered with the Women's Club, Morristown, NJ as well as an active member of her community association in the Poconos. She loved gardening and birds. She is survived by her daughter Lauren Boyadjis and her husband Anthony; five grandchildren, Joshua (Michelle) Rovner, Matthew Roscher, Sarah Roscher, Hannah Boyadjis and Rachel Boyadjis; two great-grandchildren Dylan and Dakota Rovner. She is also survived by her brother Thomas Doremus and her sister-in-law Patricia Doremus. Predeceased by her husband Rudolph, son David and brother Robert. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 27th, 2014, 10:00AM-11:30AM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph, NJ (www.tuttlefh.com ). A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30AM, also at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
