Francis "Frank" B. Gallagher, 88, of Rockaway, passed away suddenly, Monday, December 15th, 2014 at Saint Clare's Hospital, Dover. Francis was born in Jamaica, NY, and has been a resident of Rockaway Township since 2000. He formerly resided in Stanhope. He was a Parishioner of St. Bernard Parish in Mount Hope. Frank served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a Chemical Engineer at Garden State Paper, Garfield and retired in 1994 after 30 years. He graduated from Syracuse University. He was a member of T.A.P.P.I.. Frank was an accomplished musician, he held 5 patents and loved reading and doing the NY Times crossword puzzle. Survived by Alice, his wife of 23 years, two daughters Mary Kussler and her husband William of Rockaway and Marguerite Maloney and her husband Mark of Mt. Bethel, PA. Also survived by four grandchildren Michael, Elizabeth, Ryan and Sara, two great-grandchildren Thomas and Quinn, his brother Robert Gallagher and his wife Melda of Garden City, NY and his stepdaughter Alison and stepson Jim. Predeceased by his first wife Angela in 1987. Visitation Sunday, December 21, 2014, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com ). Funeral Mass on Monday, December 22, 2014, 10:30 AM at St. Bernard Parish, Mount Hope. Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Bernard's Parish, 446 Mt. Hope Road, Wharton, NJ 07885-2814 or the Rockaway Food Closet - First Presbyterian Church, 35 Church Street, Rockaway, NJ 07866. Directions to St. Bernrd Parish: From I-80 West: Take Exit 35B - Mount Hope. Make a RIGHT at the end of the ramp, onto Mount Hope Avenue. Drive approximately 0.6 mile, and make the first LEFT, at the Spain Rincon Restaurant, onto Richard Mine Road. Drive approximately 0.2 mile, and make the first RIGHT, onto St. Bernard Drive. The Church is 0.1 mile on the right. From I-80 East: Take Exit 35. Make a LEFT at the end of the ramp, onto Mount Hope Avenue. Drive approximately 0.8 mile, and make the first LEFT, at the Spain Rincon Restaurant, onto Richard Mine Road. Drive approximately 0.2 mile, and make the first RIGHT, onto St. Bernard Drive. The Church is 0.1 mile on the right.
